The Eastern Cape boasts healthy herds of more than 30 species of antelope as well as numerous game birds varieties. Our hunting areas, rich in both historical interest and scenic beauty, are carefully selected to offer the highest quality in trophy hunting. Trophy hunts are tailored to suit the hunters preferences and ability and are planned and conducted to give the hunter the opportunity to test his/ her skill and endurance against some of our prime game animals.
The hunting area starts on the shores of the Indian Ocean. Here the terrain is covered mostly in dense forests with intermittent grass ridges and valleys. The hunting area extends northbound into the Winterberg Mountains and beyond. The terrain varies from open plains, thorn Savannah to rocky hills and mountains.

I have been on four safaris with Savannah South Safaris over the past 5 years. We are excited to return in March 2014 for another great hunt. Adrian Purdon is easy going and is a true professional when it comes to judging trophy age and size. I also look forward to spending time in the mountains in the Karoo and then off to the coast. The trophy quality is way above average, whether it is 30 inch Waterbuck, a 27 inch Nayala or the 4 color phases of Springbok. I would unquestionably recommend Savannah South Safaris for a great safari experience. You cannot go wrong with Adrian as your professional hunter.” Jim D.
